product name XG16 Sm2Co17 Permanent Magnets
Samarium Cobalt permanent magnet is widely used second generation high energy material. Using Samarium and Cobalt as its rare earth element, it exhibits high magnetic performance characteristics in energy product and coercive force. There are two compositions of magnets in this family: Sm1Co5 and Sm2Co17. The highest commercially available energy products of Sm2Co 17 are in the 30MGOe range.
Features of SmCo Magnets
SmCo magnet is high performance, low temperature coefficient permanent.
Its biggest advantage is high working temperature-300 degree centigrade, this makes Samarium Cobalt an excellent choice for compact designs where high temperature environments may be present.
Good corrosion resistance and no need to be coating, because it is difficult to be eroded and oxidized.
Grinding and slicing can be operated into the desired shape and size.
Application of SmCo Magnets:
SmCo magnet is widely used in motors, watch, transducers, instruments, positional detector, generators, radar, etc.
WARNING:
Due to their extremely high magnetic strength and brittle nature, SmCo magnet parts must be handled very carefully to prevent injury to personnel and damage to the magnets. Receiving and assembly personnel must be pre-warned about the dangers of handling these magnet parts.
1.Material:
Samarium-Cobalt, 35% Sm, 60% Co with the balance being Fe & Cu
1:5
alloy material
1:5
offers 16 MGOe (energy product) to 22 MGOe and is made up of approximately 50%
samarium and 50% cobalt. The 1:5 series has a maximum recommended operating
temperature of 250°C. SmCo 1:5 magnets require lower field strengths than 2:17
materials to magnetize. In some instances, 1:5 material may be magnetized with
multiple poles, provided that a magnetizing fixture is
available.
2:17
alloy material
2:17 offers 24 MGOe
to 32 MGOe and is composed of about 25% samarium, 5% copper, 18% iron, 2%
hafnium or zirconium, with the remainder being cobalt. The 2:17 series of has a
maximum operating temperature of 350°C. Special grades of 2:17 are available
which can operate to even higher temperatures. SmCo 2:17 requires extremely high
magnetizing fields, and multiple pole magnetization is not possible.
2.Size and Shape:
Customize,up to client's requirement
3.Type:
SmCo5,Sm2Co17
4.Grade:
S16,S18,S20,S28,S30
5.Certificate:
ISO9001:2008
6.Key Features:
♥ Superior resistance to high temperature(max temperature reaches 350 degree centigrade)
♥ 180degree centigrade, its maximum energy product BH and temperature stability are superior
than NdFeB magnet.
♥ Excellent resistance to corrosion, no coating is needed for the surface protecting.
♥ Reliable coercive force
♥ Environment and recycle friendly.
